Puppeteer

Matt has been performing various pigs, chickens, monsters and a range of other characters on Sesame Street since 1996.  He is the understudy for Caroll Spinney’s Big Bird and performs Baby Big Bird in the Sesame Beginnings DVD series.

Matt’s work with The Muppets include Disney’s The Muppets, the Christmas special The Muppets: Letters to Santa, Studio DC: Almost Live! and viral videos created for YouTube and Muppets.com.

He has worked as a puppeteer on Noggin’s Jack’s Big Music Show, Oobi, Nick Jr.’s Blue’s Room, Disney’s Bear in the Big Blue House, PBS’ Between the Lions, The Puzzle Place, Big Bag, MATHmatazz, the Columbia Pictures’ film The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, HBO’s OZ and GORILLAZ Live at The Apollo. 

He appeared along with fellow Sesame Street puppeteer Martin P. Robinson in the Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors as a member of the puppeteering team for Audrey II, the man-eating alien plant.

Matt earned a BFA in Theatre at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University as an actor.
